Teaching Artists
Marquis Studios has a roster of 34 highly qualified teaching artists. If you are interested in being one of our teaching artists you should send a cover letter and your resume to Jobs@MarquisStudios.org. Please note, however, that while we carefully read all submissions and will keep yours on file there are generally only 2-3 openings per year and Marquis Studios rarely employs a teaching artist without previous experience in NYC public Schools. This is not an entry level position.
Internships
Marquis Studios has an opening for an intern to assist with tasks in our development department starting early to mid January and lasting a minimum of 3 and a half months. Because our small office staff is responsible for identifying and securing government, foundation, and private funding for programs in an average of 70 public schools a year, the selected candidate will gain extensive and valuable hands on experience with an arts education nonprofit organization. Qualified candidates would have a nonprofit experience, with a strong preference for experience in development work such as grant writing, donor relations, fundraising, etc. Responsibilities will include maintaining correspondence with various funders while the Development Director is on a 6 week maternity leave.
