The Teaching Artist Training Institute (TATI) provides free training and arts education best practices for individuals interested in working with students on the autism spectrum. Through observational visits and professional development seminars, TATI participants learn the fundamentals of autism, pathways of communication and the therapeutic value of the arts.
“TATI was very effective and a great experience overall. I believe it is a great training for every teacher, regardless of whether or not they directly work with children on the spectrum. It has improved my work. I currently have a child in my classroom who is receiving services at home but not in the classroom yet. My training has helped me connect and offer the student more prompts and activities that will best serve them.”
