Did you know that thousands of New York City students receive no arts education in school? For 37 years, Marquis Studios has worked to make a difference in the lives of children, parents and educators. Since it’s founding, Marquis has worked with over 325,000 students. 78% of children participating in programs live at or below the poverty line with 44% of programs serving students with disabilities. For many of our participants, this is the only arts instruction they will receive in school. Research shows that the arts improve skills in math, reading and science in addition to stimulating creativity, social development, and self-worth. Marquis Studios provides struggling schools and students with vital arts programs that support core curriculum in math, science, social studies and literacy. Unique programs including Architecture Design, Islamic Arts & Culture, Puppetry and The African Marketplace would not be possible without the support of community members and donors.
A gift of any amount ensures thousands of New York City students continue to receive an education in the arts.
