We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Claudia Cantarella to our Board of Directors! Claudia is an attorney who has been practicing law in New York City for over 30 years. She is currently the Chief Legal Officer of Broadway Technology, a leading provider of high-performance Fintech solutions. Prior to joining Broadway in 2013, Claudia was a Partner and Co-Chair of the US Intellectual Property Group at Salans LLP. Previously, Claudia practiced law at several firms, including Willkie Farr & Gallagher and Fried, Frank, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson. She regularly speaks on panels and gives lectures throughout the world on a variety of intellectual property topics. In 2014, Claudia was elected a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, an honorary organization of a select group of attorneys, judges, law faculty and legal scholars, nominated by their peers and elected by the Board of the Foundation. She has also served as a legal consultant to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, working with Member States for the purpose of drafting national legislation and regulations governing access to and use of genetic resources. Claudia is the proud mother of two children, both of whom attended NYC public schools (including, high schools specializing in the Arts) and are pursing BFA degrees in Acting and Animation, respectively). She is a marathoner, avid reader, and a world traveler. Claudia holds a BS in Speech With Distinction from Northwestern University and a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law.
