Professional Development
We can create custom professional development workshops and seminars tailored specifically to your school or organization’s needs.
Our Professional Developments include, but are not limited to teaching attendees how to incorporate:
- Art activities into core academic curriculum
- Best practices in inclusive and self-contained classrooms
- Social emotional learning
- Stress management practices
- Teaching for social justice
Workshops can take place in schools, community centers, or libraries, and offer flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends. They can be conducted remotely as well.
- Workshops are generally 90 minutes long and can accommodate up to 35 participants.
- Designed and facilitated by an experienced Marquis Studios Teaching Artist.
- Participants can include classroom teachers, school administrators, and other members of your staff team.
- All art supplies are provided by Marquis Studios.
Family Workshops
Choose from a variety of activities that will provide a fun, hands-on experience that emphasizes communication and collaboration skills between families.
Workshops are offered as single sessions rather than multi-week residencies.
Students are encouraged to collaborate with their parents, siblings, or caregivers in the art-making process. Workshops can take place in schools, community centers, or libraries and offer flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends. All art supplies are provided by Marquis Studios.
- One 90-minute workshop with art activity for up to 25 student and guardian pairs or two 45-minute workshops with art activity for up to 25 student and guardian pairs per session, led by a Marquis Studios Teaching Artist.
- Workshop participants can be students and families, students and school administrators, or for parents and guardians only.
- Workshops may be conducted remotely or in-person.
