Laura is an arts administrator, educator and advocate with a passion for creating inclusive spaces in which individuals can explore and express their unique stories and selves. Prior to joining Marquis Studios, Laura served as the Performing Arts Program Manager at New York Edge, an after school non-profit serving 40,000 students in primarily underserved areas. In addition to managing their team in writing curriculum, Laura supported their teaching artists, led professional developments and served on their Social Emotional Learning Committee. As a teaching artist for over 11 years, Laura has spearheaded theater education programming in a wide variety of under-resourced and neurodiverse communities around the country with organizations such as George Street Playhouse, Stages on the Sound, Child’s Play NY, Alabama Shakespeare Festival and the Stuttering Association for the Young (S.A.Y.). She holds a B.F.A in Theater Arts from Hofstra University and is pursuing her M.S. in Educational Theater at City College. Laura lives in Brooklyn with her husband and rescue dog Lionel. She is thrilled to be part of the Marquis Team and looks forward to continuing to create equity in access to high-quality arts programming throughout NYC.
